The Renaissance Center
 |
Overview The new, three-story office building with a level of parking below was built to house the new global headquarters for The Brick Companies and Atlantic Golf. The building’s main entrance features a brick plaza, and is the first building in Anne Arundel County with a "living", or "green" roof, not only on the main roof, but also on each side of the fourth floor patio. Building materials are brick with fiberglass reinforced panels and low energy glazing.
Because of the company’s history and former name--The Washington Brick and Terra Cotta Company--traditional materials such as wood and terra cotta were used. The architect combined high-tech elements and unique lighting to make this a one of kind space.
The Brick Companies' 9,000 square foot headquarters is an open office environment with an exposed structure and floating ceilings with extensive interior glass. The reception area and break room open to a patio which overlooks the living roof and putting green. The space also includes an IT data center and formal conference room.
